Lily went to a friend's birthday party for the first time. Brooklyn (with the adorable brown outfit) is the daughter of our most favorite NICU nurse. We went to the aquarium and had loads of fun! I think Lily really enjoyed being around the other babies, especially that cutie with the yellow bow in her hair! She was really talking and came out of her shell around the other kids...makes me happy for her.
We had each other, and then we had Lily, and now we have everything. Lilliana has tuberous sclerosis. This is our journey and our fight of this disease. And more importantly, our determination to live well and fully in spite of it!

Endocrinologist
Lily has some signs of early puberty. It may be that she has a hormone issue or that one of her brain tumors is interfering with the pituitary or hypothalamus. We will be going in for hormone testing with a local endocrinologist, getting an x-ray of her hand (to check for rapid bone growth), and another MRI (this time with contrast). Treatment in the best case scenario is medication, at worst case scenario, brain surgery. When it rains, it pours, and pours, and pours, and pours. Poor Lily has been through enough. I just hate it that there is another issue for her to deal with. However, she is still doing well on the Sabril, but there have been a few incidents lately that may be seizures. We're still trying to figure it out. Hopefully, even if they are seizures, we can get them controlled very quickly.
