Lily had lost a lot of weight here. We found out in February that she had urinary reflux and it was causing kidney infections that were nearly antibiotic resistant. After 4 different antibiotics, she finally got better, but not after losing a lot of weight. Lily will have surgery in September to correct the reflux; we're hopeful that this will resolve the issue permanently. Right now Lily takes an antibiotic every day in order to keep the infections at bay. Her surgeon is one of the best in the country (hence, why we're waiting a bit longer for the surgery; he's hard to get in with). The good news is that most children recover and do well with this surgery.
