A Birthday Wish Comes True

Lily has been almost completely seizure free since Christmas Eve! We've had 2 break-through seizures, but it was because she spit out her medication, and we were unable to tell exactly what was lost. On her 1st birthday, when we blew out the candle, I wished that by Lily's next birthday, she would be seizure free. Some wishes come true! She is also so much more aware of her environment. She is afraid of the vacuum cleaner and sometimes new toys will scare her. This might seem trivial, but before she was never cognizant enough about her environment to be afraid. We are excited about her advancements! We will be moving to the Seattle area on March 1st. This is exciting and sad. I'm really happy that Washington has great schools and health care that will be beneficial to Lily's development, but of course, there are so many people we will miss. A new adventure awaits...I just hope it means that every now and then my guest bedroom will be overcrowded with a Tulsan or two!
